Speed Reading Extension for Chrome: jetzt
jetzt is a speed-reading extension for Chrome that aims to enhance your reading speed and comprehension. Inspired by Spritz, jetzt allows you to quickly read through blocks of text with ease.
The extension can be initiated by pressing alt-s and clicking on the desired block of text. Alternatively, you can select a portion of text before pressing alt-s to start reading. The control is currently keyboard-only, providing a seamless reading experience.
With jetzt, you have the ability to adjust the size of the text using the +/- keys. You can also control the reading speed by using the up and down arrow keys to go faster or slower. Additionally, you can navigate back and forward a sentence using the left and right arrow keys (hold alt to navigate by paragraphs).
To pause the reading, simply press the spacebar. If you wish to close the extension, you can do so by pressing the escape key. The extension also offers the option to switch between light and dark themes by pressing 0. Furthermore, you can toggle summary statistics by adding / or ? at the end of a reading session.
